Life has been super rough lately. In the face of overwhelming obstacles, this mama occasionally needs to blow off some steam and have a little fun. Who doesn’t? I took one particular opportunity to head over to my local Buffalo Wings & Rings and check out their brand new menu and enjoy some sports on the tube. Does anyone else still call TVs tubes? No? I’m old, ugh.
I love the atmosphere at Buffalo Wings & Rings because it’s super family-friendly and the new menu is Chicago-inspired with big beefy hot dogs piled up with delicious combinations of goodies, funnel cake sticks with two kinds of dipping sauces and even bite-sized pretzels! For a double-plus bonus, their food is always fresh, never frozen, and they keep a chef on staff to ensure quality, which is exactly what we got on our visit: quality!
As you can see in my first photo, I went with the Hall of Flame, which was outside of what I would normally pick, but I decided to live dangerously and scored a home run in the process, it was that good. Spicy without killing me, flavorful to the max, and the fries were the perfect level of crispy too. That makes for one happy Karly, if you know what I mean.
Well! What you do is take my fun little scorecards and write down an assortment of wing sauces you’re going to try and have the server bring them all out without telling you which flavor is which. From there you have to taste and guess which flavor is which, and whoever gets the most right wins dessert! We always have a blast playing this game, and it gets us trying new flavors and finding new favorites. The girls love it too, and it gets them into the adventurous eating spirit, which is a win-win, I think.
