I hate Arizona. OK, OK, that’s a lie; I don’t hate Arizona. But I do hate the heat. My philosophy goes a little something like this:
Afterwards, I decided I would try some edits, try to get the colors to pop a little more. I did three different edits. In the first one, I added a hue/saturation layer; colorized in a red/orange tint, then decreased the opacity to 21%. After that I ran the MCP Mini Fusion action and turned off the warming filter and warm tint, then added a vibrance adjustment layer and a second colorized hue/saturation layer in a blue/purple tint. I also went back to the first hue/sat. layer and erased the edit over the trees to ensure that they still looked like a black silhouette instead of tinted.
For my second edit I simply ran an old standby Retro action that I’ve had hanging in my arsenal for a long time now. I didn’t change anything on it.
On my third edit I added a gradient overlay in the blend mode overlay at 26%, reflected and aligned with the layer in blue, red and yellow. I added a layer mask and painted the effect off the trees to again keep the silhouette black instead of tinted.
