To me, nap time isn’t what I expected it to be. In the beginning, with Afton, maybe it was. Sometimes I would nap with her, to regain my energy and strength, because one child sure was difficult! (note the implied sarcasm)
But we all come to hear and learn that nap time is our savior as Mothers, because without nap time, we surely could not accomplish a single worthwhile thing in a day! On some days this is definitely true, but on most days, as soon as the girls are fast asleep in their room, I am perched on the couch in a semi-comatose state.
Anyone else get like that?
I mean, sure, I am often sitting there staring at the TV thinking about the things I should be doing, but I just cannot for the life of me find the motivation to get up and make good use of the quiet time. Though sometimes, just laying there really feels like a good use of my time.
Perhaps I am being a bit hard on myself. Lord knows most of this time has been spent incubating another human being. That is pretty tough on a body, especially when it happens repeatedly in short succession. So how do you, lovely readers, spend your nap times?
And for fun, I planted a new little goody outside where once existed a dead plant. It’s purdy, and gave me a chance to play with my camera in a new way. Enjoy my peppers!
