There is a lot going on in the land of Karly. Some of it is good, some of it is great, and some of it is kind of straight-up BS. But it is what it is, so let’s go through all of it right now and be done with it, shall we?
First: NEW ECOOKBOOK!
Guys, I am so excited about this. So so so sosososososososososo excited. This was a labor of love, and I am beyond thrilled to offer this eCookbook to my email subscribers! There was a lot I had to do to get this working, from redoing photos, learning how to use inDesign, switching from MadMimi to MailChimp, dropping my popup…it was a lot of work. But worth it, totally worth it. So, if you haven’t yet subscribed via email, you should do it so you can get your own copy of the eCookbook!
Now I know some of you who were already subscribers are feeling left out right now. If you want a copy, just hit reply on any of your subscriber emails and let me know you want a copy! I’ll send you the download link personally! Woo!
Second: NEW YUM BUTTON
Have you guys heard of Yummly? Well, it is pretty much your foodie soul’s new best friend. Seriously. It’s kind of like a fusion of Pinterest and Foodgawker, because everything is displayed in beautiful collections a la Foodgawker, but you can add the recipes yourself, like Pinterest. You create your own profile to store all the recipes you personally Yum, and if you are looking for more recipes from a particular site, you can visit the site’s profile to see everything they have on Yummly! It’s so cool!
I switched out my social share buttons so I could give you all easy access to Yum my recipes, so I hope you enjoy all the fun that is about to happen in Yum-land! All you have to do is click the Yum button and a little window will pop up with your newly-yummed recipe! Easy peasey awesome.
Say hello to my tumor, which has been named “Chip” because it’s basically on my shoulder, so it’s the Chip off my shoulder, ha. At this time, we don’t know if it’s malignant or benign, and an MRI is needed to classify it. I don’t currently have insurance, so getting an MRI is extremely difficult. I’m working on it though. If you’re the kind of person who prays, or believes in vibes, and has a moment to send one my way, I would appreciate it. As you all know, I’m Mom to four little girls. They need me. My husband needs me. My friends need me. Whatever this thing may be, I need to be able to beat it for their sake, as well as mine, because even if it ends up being benign, it will still require surgery, and my arm has already been hurting for nearly two months. There are times when I lay down to read at night, that I won’t even be able to hold up my iPad due to the pain and weakness in my arm. It’s lame, and annoying. So let’s hope the fix is simple.
In the meantime, I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I’ve been a little depressed, fatigued, and just plain blah, but I know I need to get back into kick ass mode. I’m trying. It’s hard. Blah. So please stay tuned and bear with me. And if you haven’t subscribed yet, please do!
