I have officially finished Day Five in the Fast 5 week of my Nutrisystem My Way Select Plan (Pre-selected Favorites Menu). The Fast 5 is supposed to help you lose five pounds the first week, and as of this morning, I am down 6.6 lbs with two more days to go. Whoop whoop!
Like I said in my original post, it’s time to get real. So let’s do that, shall we?
Here is me, Day One, no editing or filters. Just me, right after I woke up and peed.
Because you needed to know that, obviously.
This week has been a hard one, but understandable. The way I used to eat was basically along the lines of not eating anything until dinner and then gorging all evening. So once I started spacing out my meals, the food would trigger my hunger and my need to gorge, but since I wasn’t gorging I was starving. With each day the hunger has lessened and my desire to binge has ebbed, but it’s definitely still present, no matter how much water I drink.
As for the food, it’s actually pretty tasty!
Of all my meals, I think my favorite was the Spicy Kung Pao Noodles (top right). They really were spicy, but also quite flavorful. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, so it was a pleasant surprise! My least favorite meal this week was the Chicken Alfredo. I didn’t like the flavor or the texture at all, and it didn’t help that I paired it with lettuce and a terrible excuse for an oil-less dressing that I tried to make. I failed so bad with that one.
I am excited for next week because I will be adding in more foods, like peanut butter, and I’ll be able to eat small amounts of oil so I am going to whip up my Greek Salad Dressing to eat some real salads.
Keep checking my instagram for food photos, and maybe a body shot here or there (I’ve got some big plans for the body shots!), and come by next Friday for my official weight from Monday’s weigh-in!
