Last week I posted on Facebook a question asking how much you guys thought I lost during the Fast 5 week.
Are you ready for that answer?
Before I started Nutrisystem, I set a goal to lose seven pounds on the Fast 5, knowing a little bit about how I tend to lose weight. So I definitely nailed it.
At the end of week two I was down another 2.8 lbs.
I faced my first challenge last week, and that was having a get-together with my cousin Amy’s family, complete with burgers, mac and cheese, salad and lots of wine. I conversed with my Nutrisystem counselor via email and she gave me some great recommendations on how to deal with eating that day, but I definitely still over-indulged.
You know what, though? I didn’t beat myself up about it. The next day I was right back on the diet, and as of this morning, I’m still down another two pounds.
It is so important not to get upset at skipping a Nutrisystem meal to eat out with family or grab a lunch with co-workers. Sometimes life is like that. Just know that tomorrow is a new day and as long as you get back on track, you’re still going to lose weight.
Let’s take a look at some of the yummy meals I’ve been eating lately:
We’ve got the chicken and cheese quesadilla, garden vegetable omelet, chicken fajita melt, cavatelli with broccoli pesto, and ginger cashew chicken. All delicious!
My least favorite meals from the past week were the mac and cheese, the red beans and rice, and the stuffed shells. Well, the stuffed shells were all right, but it didn’t taste as rich as it looked, which left me feeling unsatisfied, if that makes sense?
I haven’t been experiencing much hunger at all, so I’m feeling more secure as each day passes that I won’t just gorge out one day without a thought like I used to do, which is a really nice feeling! I’m also enjoying stevia in my coffee so I can get my caffeine hit and keep my sanity.
There is no photo progress pic this week, but there will be one soon, so stay tuned!
