The Shine Event!

On Thursday my family and I got to escape for a bit and we went to The Shine Event!
This, of course, was after we managed to get lost for 1.5 hours because Google Maps screwed me over.

Stupid Google Maps.

Anyway!
I helped out at the dessert table (yum!) and I had a chance to meet some super cool bloggers like Jen (The Arizona Russums), Erin (Captivated By Grace), Heather (Finding Beauty in the Ordinary), and Stesha (Classic and Bubbly)!  All beautiful, super nice ladies; y’all should check them out.

I wish I was able to get a picture with these cool ladies, but my hubs was running around with the camera for the most part.

My girls did some entertaining too…

And they greatly loved getting attention from Jen, Erin and Heather.

But really, the event was great fun!  Ashley did an awesome job with the whole thing and seeing the smile on her face and the face of all the kids who were there performing and giving presentations was so heart-warming.  I wanted to stay for the whole evening, but the girls wouldn’t allow it, which I’m sure was attributed to the 1.5 hours spent sitting in the car while Rudy and I freaked out trying to figure out how I managed to mess up the directions so terribly.
Hubs got some cute pictures of the choir, and they were more than willing to cheese for him.  Especially the girls, ha ha ha!

If you weren’t able to make it to the event, go check out Ashley’s blog for even more photos and love to everyone who came to support the cause!
