Two years ago today, Rudy and I got married.
It was a simple ceremony with a Justice of the Peace; performed in my mother’s backyard that we so meticulously worked on to make look gorgeous.
Not that it took much work…Mom’s backyard has always been beautiful and well-maintained.
I made about six dozen French Macarons (not to be confused with Macaroons) with a white chocolate raspberry ganache as gifts to our guests, which equaled about 30 people, and handcrafted tea light holders from baby food jars with yellow fish tank stones and red ribbons.
Rudy made all the food for our reception: chicken fajitas with corn tortillas and the world’s best guacamole and rice. He even made a five gallon portion of red sangria and iced tea.
We did everything ourselves because we couldn’t afford anything more than that, but I think that I wouldn’t have enjoyed our wedding near so much any other way.
Our wedding party.
Boys have a good time.
But so do we!
I love my man.
