Oh I am so so excited!

Mom is coming to town tomorrow night!
Last time I saw her was in May, on the day I was discharged from the hospital after almost dying, one week after Vivienne’s birth. The time before that was over Christmas, and everyone was sick and Rudy was stuck in the hospital over the whole holiday. And the time before that I had just given birth to Laney. Ha.
What is super awesome about this trip, though, is that I will neither be pregnant nor will I have just given birth! Which meeeeeeeans, I can actually fully participate in all our activities, like swimming! And walking! And heavy drinking!
Ha ha ha.
Of course, because of the state we always seem to find ourselves in when Mom’s expected to arrive, I can fully admit that I am currently sick as a dog. My girls have all been sick as well, but they seem to be mending quickly, whereas I just want to curl up into a ball and die.
I call it The Curse of Mom’s Arrival.
Mom doesn’t like that too much, but seriously! No one had been sick in MONTHS and now, just days before she’s set to land, we’re all under the weather!
No fair, man.
Of course, I can’t forget Sharon! Sharon has been one of Mom’s best friends since I was born pretty much. Maybe even before that, I can’t remember. But she always comes down with Mom for some yearly R&R.
I can’t wait to take new photos and compare them to last year’s. See how much we’ve all changed.
Everyone will be older, wiser and thinner. But not me, I’m fatter! Ugh!
So if I’m unusually absent, now you know why!
