If you were not aware, we bought the house I grew up in! That’s right, here in small town Minnesota. So awesome.
Being that I’ve lived in small apartments for the past ten years, it was no surprise to find that I was lacking in many things with which to decorate this huge house.
Seriously, it has four levels. I dunno what the style is termed as, but it’s essentially a double-split level. Basically, when you walk in the front door you have the kitchen, dining room, and living room. From there, you can go upstairs and find three bedrooms, a guest bath, and master bath. You can also go down a set of stairs and find the family room, den, and a third bathroom. Finally, another set of stairs takes you to the basement. It’s big to me, but is a standard-sized house. There are some McMansions right behind us, to keep things in perspective.
Right now we are working on the living room on the main level. We plan on doing a huge remodel down the road, but for now, we’re just working on making it a useful space for our large family.
Right now, the dining room is barely suitable for a table large enough to fit everyone, so we plan on purchasing a larger one and utilizing the living room as the new dining room, and maybe putting a smaller table where our current one is, as a sort of breakfast nook.
One thing I am loving right now, though, is all this amazing Minted artwork I put on the large back wall.
Holy beautiful, isn’t it amazing?
I gave the gift of Minted, because with designs sourced from their global community of independent designers and artists, Minted’s unique set of completely customizable product offerings will leave you inspired. And they don’t just carry art, you can find high quality and cleverly crafted cards and gifts too.
I swear, I had the hardest time choosing these pieces because Minted has so much to choose from! I think at one point I had my cart filled with $5000 worth of beautiful pieces. It was nuts. SO HARD TO CHOOSE. Love it.
Experience Minted for yourself, and get lost in the adventure of bringing your home to life!
What’s next on our remodel agenda? Say bye bye to that ugly carpet!
