Have I professed my love for the holiday season enough for you yet? No? Good, cause my happy train is hanging out at Station Christmas and we’re having a big ol’ party. Yes indeedy. I don’t know about you, but I love all things hot when it comes to the holidays. Hot dishes, hot dinners, hot soups, hot drinks. We’re feeling hothothot. You can hear that in your head, can’t you. Don’t deny it. You love it. Just like I love this White Chocolate Eggnog Latte that I whipped up in just two minutes with my amazing Nespresso VertuoLine bundle.
I may be slightly obsessed with this machine. Seriously, it’s awesome. Every cup is a perfect cup with its unique, intelligent extraction system.
What on Earth are you talking about, Karly?!? I am sure you are asking. Well, basically, the VertuoLine recognizes each of the 12 individual capsules and adjusts the extraction parameters to deliver the perfect cup for each capsule. Talk about smart technology. And boy does it deliver.
When I opened the VertuoLine bundle, I practically squealed for joy. And then I proceeded to drink about twenty cups of coffee as I tasted all of the different varieties of coffee and espresso. Me? I’m a big fan of espresso. But also, I’m a mega fan of the crema this machine creates. It is rich and delicious. So fine. Just look at my amazing espresso.
Now, for this White Chocolate Eggnog Latte, you want to start with a couple tablespoons of white chocolate syrup in the bottom of your cup, then whip up some of the Altissio espresso. Yum. Next, you’re going to want to grab the Aeroccino+ and add several ounces of eggnog. Using the hot milk attachment, turn it on and let that baby go until the eggnog is hot and steamy.
Pour all that hot eggnog down the side of the glass, then let the extra bit of bubbly, foamy goodness float on top. Garnish with a dash of nutmeg and enjoy. So yum. So very, very yum. I served these to some friends at a mini get-together when it was rainy and gloomy and oh-so-winter-y, and it was a mega hit. It felt like Christmas to them and it brought out all our holiday cheer. It also may have brought out some rum. Maybe. Which is also delicious when added to my white chocolate eggnog latte. What would you call that? Rummy White Chocolate Eggnog Latte? You tell me. Telllllll me.

- 2 Tbsp White Chocolate Syrup
- 1 Capsule Nespresso Altissio Espresso
- ¾ C Eggnog
- Dash Nutmeg
- Prepare a coffee cup with with the white chocolate syrup and position beneath a Nespresso VertuoLine machine.
- Add the espresso capsule to the machine and run until the cycle is over.
- While the espresso is brewing, add the eggnog to the Aeroccino+, using the hot milk frother (not the whisk), and turn on. Allow to run until the cycle completes, then pour the hot eggnog into the cup with the espresso and syrup. Top with the nutmeg and enjoy.
