There was a time when I was scared of writing a book. It was like this unattainable, barely imaginable, intangible thing way out there in space. Like 100 galaxies away. Very abstract, I know. But seriously, I had this frozen fear that I was too small to write a book, not good enough to write a book, not serious enough to write a book. What a ridiculous notion! I mean, seriously. This is a totally obtainable goal. And now I have a book about smoothies, that include recipes like this Chocolate Cookie Butter Smoothie.

I would say I finally get to wear my spectacles, but of course, I’ve been wearing them all my life. Cause apparently I knew this was coming the whole time. Yep. Mmhmm. I’m unconsciously psychic or something. It’s that whole ESPN thing, right?
And yet you look at my first paragraph and wonder what just happened. I know. It’s weird. I don’t get it either, so just go with it.
What made this whole process so easy was Blurb and their wonderful bookmaking tools. Like BookWright. It’s their own FREE software that has all their book templates in it, which makes choosing a book framework super simple. No guessing on margins or anything like that, because Blurb has your back. I imported all my photos and set off on the business of getting my layout in order and writing all those recipes I’ve been working on!

Now, I know I teased you all over on my instagram a couple weeks ago, declaring my love for the ultimate smoothie ever made. You all yelled at me to share the recipe and I said no no no no no no. But now I say yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

So here it is, my friends. The Chocolate Cookie Butter Smoothie!
- 1 C Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- ½ C Nutella
- ¾ C Cookie Butter
- ½ C Vanilla Almond Milk
- ¼ C Chocolate Protein Powder
- Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until smooth. Enjoy!
