Cherries Jubilee Cocktail

Summer may be over, but very easy cocktail recipes like this Cherries Jubilee Cocktail don’t have to go with it. Whip one up this weekend and celebrate Labor Day in style!
Overhead shot of cherries jubilee cocktail with fresh cherriesI always have a lot of fun with these sort of patriotic drinks. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy a red, white, and blue drink?!

I guess if the tastes don’t mesh it wouldn’t be good, but this drink is definitely full of flavor you’re going to enjoy.

I honestly wasn’t trying to get the red, white, and blue effect, but it happened naturally because the base ingredient, tart cherry juice, has a higher density than the Smirnoff ICE Red, White, and Berry.

Since I didn’t want the drink to be too tart (pucker up!), I stirred in a little simple syrup to sweeten it to my liking. You can adjust the amount to suit your tastes, starting with a little less and working your way up.

Easy, peasy!

I finished the drink off with some plain vodka and Smirnoff ICE, and because I enjoy my drinks super fun, I popped some colorful patriotic lollipops in there for giggles.

If it’s not storming like mad like it’s been doing for the last couple of weeks, I’ll be chilling outside sippin’ on muh dranks and maybe whipping up some of my fave cucumber salad, or maybe even a coffee-crusted BBQ bacon cheeseburger!
